5 Overnight Masks | Reviews

Face masks which you can wear whilst you sleep are my go-to favourites when it’s night time and I’ve had a couple glasses of wine and the last thing I want to do is a skincare routine.

Using a sleep mask on the face in these cases makes me feel like I have put in a decent amount of effort, my skin feels great the next morning and it’s quick and easy to do. Below are the 5 sleeping masks I currently have on rotation and what I think of each one.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

This is one of the first overnight masks I ever tried. It’s a nice cream consistency, smells lovely and is recommended for dry normal skin. From my experience I would say it’s more for normal skin as although I do find my skin feels nice and soft in the morning, it doesn’t give me such a huge amount of hydration. It sinks in fast and I think it is a good starting point to see if you like overnight masks. Not sure I would repurchase it unfortunately.

Rituals The Ritual of Namaste Night Balm*

This has a slightly wetter consistency than your standard cream but this also means that a tiny amount goes a long way. It has a lovely calming scent which helps to put you into a relaxing mood, perfect for bedtime. After using this my skin does feel more supple in the morning and looks a lot less tired than the night before. I would probably repurchase this (this one was gifted) though I might try other Rituals night balms as I do like to try out new products.

COSRX Ultimate Moisturising Honey Night Balm

My mum gave this to me to use as she really liked it and I have to say, I really do as well. It’s a gel consistency but it doesn’t feel sticky and it sinks in super fast. I find that as far as leaving the skin feeling hydrated, this one definitely delivers on the mark. I like just how easy this is (it sinks in that fast!) and how hydrated my skin feels in the morning so I would most certainly repurchase this one.

Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask

I bought this one in a small version as I have heard lots of good things about Glow Recipe but I haven’t tried anything and they aren’t cheap so I thought I would give it a go with a small version first. It’s a very light gel consistency and has a very light scent in it. I definitely think it leaves the skin feeling smoother the next morning and hydrated. I’m not sure if I would repurchase this specific one just because of the price point but I definitely would try other Glow Recipe products.

Bioderma Hydrabio Mask*

Now this technically isn’t an overnight mask. It is just a leave-on moisturising mask which you let sit for 10minutes and then rub in any leftovers. To me this works as a sleeping mask because of the fact that you don’t have to take it off. It’s a very light consistency but I do find it quite hydrating and softening. It doesn’t have a scent so can be a good one for sensitive skin. I find when you apply it, it takes a few minutes to dry but after that you have really nice soft skin which is still there when I wake up. Would repurchase for sure.

Do you use overnight masks? Any I should try next?

*Products gifted. I do not have to review them and all opinions are my own.

The Glow Recipe mask is definitely on my wish list! The texture looks so dreamy.
