In my every day job I work at an office as a marketing assistant. In my hobby land I spend a lot of time at home working on my laptop on my blog (and its associated channels). So you could say I spend a lot of time in an office environment and there are some essentials that are complete must haves for me to stay productive and efficient.
This may not come as any surprise but having a laptop (at home, as I only have a desktop at my general job) allows me to work on my blog wherever I comfortable and inspired that day. Whether that’s on the kitchen bench like right now, on the coffee table, my makeup table or outside. I find being confined to one place as you usually are in a general job is a lot less motivating and not as productive. I guess that’s why places like Google have such open and flexible workspaces.
Sometimes I’m a very digital person but every so often I need to get all my thoughts and ideas onto a piece of paper, which is why notebooks/pads always come in super handy! I like getting ones with cute designs on them as they can also then double up as props for my Instagram flatlays!
If I don’t have a watch on my wrist, I feel absolutely lost and struggle to keep track of how much time I spend on certain things. As time is constantly running out, I’m always conscious of how much time I spend doing tasks. This allows me to reprioritise when required to ensure all the things I want/need to do are completed in a timely fashion.
Lately I’ve loved wearing my new Daniel Wellington watch*. It’s stylish and easily goes with all outfits. Currently they have a special on, where you get a free strap on any watch order (from 4th April – 24th April) and you can also get 15% off you order by using the code ‘SOFIAADOT’ (non-affiliate). If you’ve been looking for a new watch recently, this is definitely an amazing, quality company to check out!
4) A Huge Cup of Tea
I’m not a coffee drinker (it makes me really energised for about half an hour and then I crash and need sleep) but I am a huge fan of tea. My large collection of T2 teas proves that (which is far more teas than the 3 pictured here). When I spend lots of time working on an article or taking photos I always enjoy having a large cup (like the one pictured) so that my tea is pretty much bottomless!
5) Windows/Natural Light
I always feel a lot more motivated when there is natural light involved, which is why being by a window or in general having light flood the room is an essential. I find it energises me (which I’m sure it does a lot of people) and keeps me going throughout the day!
So those are some of my office essentials to stay productive and motivated throughout the day! What are your must-haves? Leave them in the comments below!
