A few weekends ago I went to Sydney to visit my sister and of course no Sydney trip would be complete without a Sephora trip (as we don’t have a Sephora here in Perth).
I tried my best to be very restrained and I picked up quite a few minis of products just as I find it so much easier to try a product out then and decide whether I like it before I splurge of the full size version.
The first thing I picked up was a mini of the Benefit Hoola bronzer. Believe it or not, I have never tried it previously and I figured it was about time I gave it a go. I decided to go for the mini because of all the hype around this product, if it doesn’t live up to it then I won’t be as sad if it’s a small version. I have yet to try it so keep an eye out for a review.
The next thing I got was this Zoeva Caramel Melange eyeshadow palette. I’ve heard a lot of people rave about the quality of the Zoeva shadows and considering that their price is a lot more reasonable than other high-end brands, I decided to give them a shot. I have tried it once so far and I have to say I was very impressed with it. But I will keep trying it more and do a review once I’ve had a full play with it.
I then picked up the Sephora Eye Masks (one Green Tea, one Pomegranate) I’ve tried these before and I really like them. They are nice are cooling and hydrating, giving my under eye area a little pick-me-up whenever I use them. I can’t compare them to much else as I haven’t used many other eye masks but I do find that these work fine.
The It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer was my ‘you’re-walking-to-the-register-and-you-grab-everything-small-on-the-way’ kind of a purchase. I’ve heard about this before and I do have quite bad bags under my eyes so I figured why not? I have tried this once since I got it and I have to say I didn’t like it much. It was incredibly thick, sticky and it made my under eye area look super heavy. I’m going to experiment some more and maybe try a little less but so far it isn’t going great.
My other full size product pick-up was the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow pencil in Taupe. This was all the hype when it first got released and I know a lot of people still love it. I have started using it and the only thing I’ll say so far is that the shade might be a bit too light for me. But again, keep an eye out for the full review.
Finally I also grabbed the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea marine boosting 4-in1 mist. I love a good mist and this sounded quite intriguing being a primer, setting spray, a hydrating mist and a skin refresher. I’ve tried it once so far on top of makeup and I do really enjoy the way the mist is as it’s very fine and even spread out.
So that was all that I picked up at Sephora! What have you purchased recently? Anything you think I must get?
Love,
Sofia

You did well getting lots of new things to try, I tend to go a little overboard when I travel and see stores we don’t have here in Brisbane, haha!
Hope you are having a great weekend! 🙂 We have been spending time with visiting family, which is wonderful.
