I got this Alpha H Triple Action Cleanser with Thyme a while ago because I had heard a lot of good things about Alpha H and I figured I’d give them a go.
The cleanser is of a non-foaming gel consistency. On the back it says to message the cleanser over the face and remove with a damp face cloth. Personally I mainly use face cloths for face masks and don’t enjoy using them for cleansers which is why I just washed it off with water after spreading it around. It comes off very easily and leave the skin feeling completely clean. I find it removes all of my makeup, though I have tried it with one waterproof mascara and it took a while to come off, so if you wear waterproof mascara often, this won’t work well on it.
I use about two pumps per wash. I always find that non-foaming cleansers do require a bit more (for me at least) compared to foaming ones. I also don’t wear much foundation so you might need to use a bit more depending on how much makeup you wear. On days I do glam up a bit more, sometimes I might use three pumps. Saying that however, this has lasted me over six months now and it isn’t empty yet, so I guess it lasts well. There is a very subtle scent, not anything overpowering and it’s quite fresh.
The main thing I like about this Alpha H cleanser however is that you can use it on the eyes as well as the face. I really don’t like when you can’t use the cleanser everywhere, because sometimes I just don’t have time to worry about a cleanser for the eyes and the face. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry or aggravate my eyes at all either so a huge plus there.
I’d say the only issue I have with this is that the bottle itself, although I love the design, gets super dirty. I always wet my eyelashes before removing the mascara with a cleanser, and so every bit of the makeup sticks to the packaging like crazy. However, that is also because I do have it on my hands, so it isn’t Alpha H’s fault.
All in all I really enjoy this cleanser and would certainly consider repurchasing.
Have you tried it before? What cleansers do you use?
