Recently Chi Chi have released a large number of palettes and I figured I’d try one that has a multi-purpose uses.
This Beauty On The Go palette retails for $29.95 AUD and comes with three eyeshadows, a bronzer, a corrector, two highlighters and three blushes. If you want to see me use it, watch the video below otherwise just keep reading.
The shadows that come in the palette have got to be my favourite thing about it. They are creamy, pigmented, easy to blend and have no fall out. My favourite shade is definitely the very bottom one called the Crease shade. Personally, I enjoy using it all over the lid and not just in the crease. It’s a stunning bronze shade, one that I didn’t have in my collection till now.
I’m not big into banana powders such as the corrector powder that is in this palette, just because my under-eye area is very dry, so powders like this just clump up on my skin and look extremely cakey. However, if you do like these I think this one would be good as it feels nice and smooth, has brightening pigment and doesn’t have much fall out.
The bronzer that is provided here would be ideal for someone just starting out with bronzing. It’s not orange and has a nice warm glow to it. It isn’t very pigmented at all but you can build it up and so I think if you aren’t too sure about bronzing yet, this might be a good option.
There are also three blush shades given and I have to say that this is the most disappointing part of the palette. Which is a surprise considering I have a different Chi Chi blush that I quite like (read about it here). Although these have incredible pigment and blend easily, they are very powdery and have a lot of fall out. This not only means it can get messy but also that you would go through them pretty fast.
The two highlight shades however, are absolutely amazing as well! One is a bit more subtle than the other, giving you two options for how much you want to use. I mixed them together and the pigmentation pay-off was just out of this world. Definitely will be reaching for these a lot!
Overall, I think the eyeshadows and the highlighters really make this palette outstanding and worth the money. I can also never pass on the convenience of having so many products in one palette as well!
Have you tried any of the Chi Chi range before?
