This mascara costs under $6 (AUD) and it is absolutely brilliant for the price.
I’ve seen a lot of people on Instagram (Find me here), rave about this mascara and especially it’s price, so I of course, had to go and pick it up for myself.
It comes in a plastic black container with mint green writing/drawing on it. On the cap, the mint green actually bulges out slightly giving it a really cool effect. It says it’s meant to give you ‘an irresistible false lash effect and dramatic volume’.
When I first opened it I found that it was very watery and I had to wait for it to dry for a while before I could build up the intensity. Since having it for about a month now, it has become less watery and the effect is achieved a lot faster (I got for about two swipes).
The wand is pretty long, but it thins out towards the top, making it really good to get into the lashes near the corner of my eyes. I particularly love this for my bottom lashes. I find that it separates them so easily and one swish of it is enough to make them really appear huge and stand out.
This is definitely a mascara that gives you slightly thicker, ‘spider’ lashes, especially if you apply too much. So you do have to be careful and patient with it at the start just to gauge how far you’d want to go. I don’t mind the look of slightly ‘spider’ lashes at the moment and I wouldn’t say that this mascara clamps them up. If you just leave it to dry for a little between the two applications, I think it looks great!
It’s definitely not a waterproof mascara however, so don’t get it and then go snorkeling! But this is a positive as well, as it’s super easy to remove at the end of the day, which is better for your eyes, to be gentle with them.
