I got this because I’ve seen a few people rave about it and because I love cleansers which I can use on both the face and my eyes as it’s just so much faster and easier I think.
The butter doesn’t have a strong scent, it’s a very soft, subtle chamomile smell which doesn’t linger or irritate me at all. The butter itself is very smooth. It’s a white consistency and it really does feel like real food butter does to the touch. It melts very quickly once you pick it up so you have to be quick in applying it to the face.
It was incredible for taking off makeup. It just melted it off, leaving no trace behind of both face and eye makeup (thought I didn’t test it on waterproof stuff). The ease with which it is to work into the skin and how quickly it dissolves your makeup would be the reason I would say you should try it.
The reason I didn’t enjoy it 100% is because as it is like ‘butter’ it did still feel slightly slimy. Although it took off the makeup easily, getting the actual cleanser off was a little more difficult. It did wipe away if you just used a towel or cloth so if that is what you usually use to cleanse then this would be amazing for you. I prefer to just splash down my face with water however, which just didn’t seem to take it off well.
All in all, it was really good at removing makeup just slightly too slimy for my liking.

I have been wanting to try this product forever, but I never buy it because I think it’s going to be too buttery… I don’t know, I rather take off my make up with miscelar water (I use one from the body shop as well). The review was really helpful cause now I know that if I have to use a cloth to remove it I won’t enjoy it that much!
Yeah pretty much!! Turns out I don’t like it if it’s too buttery as well. Definitely don’t spend the money if that’s something you won’t enjoy either!! xx
Haha I think it would…. it was very fast at melting off normal makeup so maybe if you just used it for slightly longer it would melt waterproof makeup off as well!! xx
I still have yet to try anything from the Body Shop. I probably wouldn’t like this has I hate that slimy feeling haha. I do love oil based cleansers! At least for a pre-cleanse/makeup removal routine. 🙂
Yeah pretty much!!! Exactly but then you go in with something that wouldn’t be quite as oily! The Body Shop has some awesome stuff but this was just one of those that didn’t work perfectly on me 🙂 xx
