Maybelline The NUDES Palette | Review

This is a gorgeous basics palette! It has a mixture of matte and shimmer shades (six of each), making it very versatile.

Although the shades aren’t ridiculously pigmented you can build them up, which is good if you’re just starting out with eyeshadow. It’s also good if you need to go from a day look to a night look as you can softly add more colour and it won’t go patchy or weird from the build up. It’s incredibly easy to blend all the shades, which helps in making the eyes look a lot more natural, if that’s what you’re after.

On the back, it has some ideas on how you could create different looks using the palette. I think this is a great starter guide to show which shades go together and where to put them.

Personally, I really like the light golden shimmery shade to use in the inner corner of my eyes as it really brings light to them, making them look bigger and more awake. My second favorite would have to be the basic brown matte shade, as it’s so universal and looks great by itself or as a crease shade, really giving depth to the eyes.

I think it’s perfect for anyone who may be a beginner in makeup or someone who isn’t sure where to start with eyeshadows, as it has all shadows necessary for basic eye looks and yet it is also super affordable! (RRP is $25.95 however Priceline always has sales; I got mine for about $12!)
Overall, I’m very impressed with it as it’s a really nice basic nudes palette, which you can never have too many of (or so I tell myself!).
Have you tried it?
Love,
